Yoga and Meditation
Yoga is a way of life in balance and harmony with the natural forces of our world. Taught in the traditon of Classical Hatha, Iyengar and Viniyoga, you will learn Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques), Vinyasa (sequencing) and Chanting to relieve stress, increase strength and flexibility.
Many of us are disconnected to our inner guidance creating confusion, stress and unhealthy choices. Meditation is a means to reconnect with this abundant source of insight. Intuition resides in each and every one of us. It is not that one is more intuitive than another, it is just that each of us use this intuitions to different degrees; some daily, many only in life and death situations, yet others may appear to not use it at all. Meditation is a way to open the faucet and allow the flow of intution to guide our actions. Prayer is our way of communicating with GOD - Intuition is GOD's way of communicating with us - Meditation is the high speed wireless connection.

Once this is determined, exercises or physical postures (asanasa) are suggested to stretch, strengthen or release affected muscles. Breathing techniques (pranayama) are developed to enhance body awareness and normal musculoskeletal function. Your Ayurvedic body type (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) is categorized and a personalized practice created based on your unique needs. Contribution factors such as lifestyle, eating and sleeping habits and physical activities will be explored. Other supportive yogic practices, such as meditation, will be examined for possible benefits.
